Much like the other Yokai found in the game, you will encounter your first as part of a quest, opening up more chance meetings with this floating creature, symbolized by an icon that looks like a floating piece of cloth. The Magatama you unlocked for completing this can then be used to unlock certain skill gates that prevent the higher-tier skills from being unlocked.
