How to Import Splatoon 2 Save Data into Splatoon 3

Importing Splatoon 2 save data to Splatoon 3 is fairly easy to do, and really only requires the Splatoon 2 data to be present on the memory card in your console. As soon as you attempt to enter an online lobby for the first time, the game will scan for Splatoon 2 save data. Should it find it, the rewards for having said data will immediately become available to you. These include immediate access to the Anarchy mode, which will allow you to play the Ranked battles without reaching level 10 first. You’ll also be able to skip the Salmon Run tutorial, allowing you to dive right into the mode without its lengthy explanation intended for new players. Most important of all, though, is that you’ll receive three Gold Sheldon Licenses. These can be used to purchase any weapon you’d like from the weapons shop, regardless of their level requirement. This means you can gain access to some of the best weapons in the game far sooner than you’d otherwise be able to get them, increasing your chances of performing well in online matches. With this in mind, it’s highly recommended that you have some Splatoon 2 save data ready to import into Splatoon 3. Even if it isn’t extensive, a little bit of time spent with the previous title will go a long way in setting you up for success with the newer game.
